A friend of mine is into brush pens for his artwork, portfolio drawings and cafe sketches. I fell in love with the Pentel Brush Pen that he used previously so I bought my own and played around with it. I previously bought a light gray marker because I want to improve my drawings. I didn’t find any use for it until later when I bought the brush pen.
While I was waiting for the bus the other day, I decided to take out my sketch book and try out the brush pen that I have. I used the marker just to try adding a little bit of color into it.

That night, I was in the mood for some drawing so I doodled my way while thinking about my dialog assignment for animation class. While I was watching Chicago, I found a scene where I find her pose very interesting. I hope that I could have done justice to the pose she was in. Proportion-wise, it needs improvement, but I think me, the brush pen, and the light gray marker are getting along well.

The following day, I finished my dialog assignment earlier than expected, finished my daily chores, went to school, submitted my assignment and had my instructor critiqued it. While I was waiting for the bus (again) home bound, I used my 10 minutes (it was 8:30PM and the bus arrives at 8:40) and drew the woman sitting on the bench outside the building.

I still have to ask my friends and my life drawing instructor on how I can use these two materials that I’m delving into.
