Ubuntu Love Day Manila 2008

Ubuntu Love Day Manila 2008 is definitely fast approaching.
The Ubuntu Philippines Local Community Team (Ubuntu-PH) has organized an event called “Ubuntu Love Day Manila 2008″. This event will be held at the UP Alumni Engineers’ Centennial Hall at the University of the Philippines, Diliman Quezon City. It will start at 8:00am on August 23, 2008(Saturday).
These are the topics that are going to be discussed in that event:
- The Ubuntu 30 day challenge – Aileen Apolo (Google)
- Ubuntu on virtualization and integrating to a Windows Network – Wallen Tan
- Ubuntu: Saving lives (and then some) – Charo Nuguid
- Choice is Good! Welcome to the Exciting, Productive and Wacky World of Ubuntu Derivatives – members of UP Linux Users’ Group (UnPLUG)
- Ubuntu and the OLPC XO-1 – Rowen Remis Iral (OLPCPH)
- Kubuntu & KDE: Contributing to an International Software Project – Juan Carlos Torres (KDE Project)
One of the organizations that I am currently a member of, University of the Philippines Linux Users Group, will be sharing our experiences on the different Ubuntu Derivative. I, myself, is an avid Ubuntu Hardy user. I use Ubuntu Studio 8.04 and I am quite happy with it. I’m thinking of sharing my experiences in Ubuntu Studio as I have been using it for recording and editing my music sheets. I’m not good at piano-playing, but I can definitely play.
Or that I can volunteer to help the organizers with other stuff, such as manpower, technical support, usherette, etc.
I’m hoping that I can wake up early so I can share or learn some tricks with other Ubuntu users.
You write very well.
